HoneyBear Lane

Something came in the mail yesterday that is SUPER CUTE!  I special ordered it for a baby shower coming up.  And I knew just who I'd ask to make it for me:

Heidi from HoneyBear Lane!

You guys seriously need to go check out her stuff.  Not only is it really cute and really affordable, she's really quick and professional!  The onesie came packaged so nice and cute with a personal thank you note... don't get those much more these days.

Isn't it adorable?!

Here are some items she has for sale in her shop:

This one has a matching apron skirt that every girl I know needs!

Isn't this one sweet for a little girl?
OR ask her to embroider something like "Chicks DIG Me" for your little guy!
She's great with custom ideas!

Her embroidery is done by hand and is just exquisite!  I'm so impressed.

I just know that your little person needs a handmade onesie from her, right?  If you haven't bought handmade before, Heidi will surely get you hooked!  Who wants their little people walking around in the same outfit as 100 other kids?!  Didn't think so... :)

She has long sleeve and short sleeve options, as well as sizes up to 3T!

Here is my all time favorite item of hers... I'm saving up my money and trying to decide on a color scheme I'd like her make!

How gorgeous is this blanket?!  She hand stuffs each little puff.

Heidi, you make awesome stuff.

... and tell her Better Life Bags sent you!

Recycled Baby Bibs

This goes along with Tree Hugging Tuesday, right!?  Recycling and repurposing items is definitely a way to save the environment (and money)!

The other day, I came across some really cute t-shirts at Goodwill and thought - why not turn these into super cute baby bibs?!

I secretly despise babyish bibs... I think they look so silly on little ones.  So, I've been refusing to let Little Bug wear any.  But, this teething thing is causing so much drool.  I had to come up with an alternative.

So here it is:

I like how even his bib is reminding us to recycle!
I'm selling a few of these in my shop over the next few days.  I'll post one a day (I have 4 total).  Some of them are made out of cool t-shirts, but I also found that button down men's shirts make awesome bibs!  I lined them with super soft minky fabric - I seriously wanted to touch the lining all day.

Fun Family Activity

Two summers ago, our friends and I played a really fun game involving dollar bills and the Dollar Store.

Here's how it works:
1. Get a bunch of friends and/or family together.
2. Go to the Dollar Store.
3. Split up and scrounge around for a perfect gift that represents each member playing.
4. Only spend $1 on each person.
5. Go somewhere where you all can sit down and pass out your gifts to each person - explaining why you picked it as you go.

We had a great time doing this!

Why is this in "Mommyhood Monday"?  I've been thinking about how excited I am to do fun activities with our family when our kids get older.  This game is one thing I want to do - for sure.
